Training: INCOTERMS® 2020 – theory, practice, changes

JGA Legal and Tax Advisory and the Regional Chamber of Commerce in Katowice invite you to a training session aimed at familiarising participants with the INCOTERMS® rules prepared by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in the 2020 version, and in particular their application in international sales contracts.

The training will be conducted by lawyers from JGA Legal and Tax Advisory:

  • Hanna Klucznik – specialising in negotiating and drafting contracts related to the export of goods and services to Eurozone countries and non-EU countries, including transaction financing with BGK/ Export Credit Insurance Corporation(KUKE).
  • Adam Doniec, Ph.D. – specialising in international trade transactions (import, export, agency agreements, NDA), negotiations, EU law, and international law.

The objectives of the training include:

  • providing knowledge that allows for confident and proficient use of the INCOTERMS® rules in daily practice,
  • indicating the benefits of applying the INCOTERMS® 2020 rules,
  • recognising the need to adjust certain contractual issues with contractors and the pitfalls associated with the application of specific rules.

The training consists of two parts:

  • theoretical (what the INCOTERMS® 2020 rules are, what they regulate and do not regulate, detailed discussion of each rule, etc.);
  • practical (discussion of the application of specific rules through examples, interaction with participants).
